2011 San Juan Island Cruise

Weather has the final word on our schedule, and Tides will influence or departure times from one location to another.

Saturday June 18th,  launch for Sucia Island

Sunday June 19th,  all day and night at Sucia Island

Monday June 20th, head for a Marina for shower and supplies (Roche or Deer Harbor) then for Stewart Island

Tuesday June 21st, all day and night at Stewart Island

Wednesday June 22, head for Fisherman Bay.  There’s a marina, stores, a great bakery, and a nice community here.

Thursday June 23rd, All day around here, on land, or in the water sailing.  Bike rentals available for touring Lopez Island.

Friday June 24th, cast off for Aleck Bay, Hunter Bay or Bud Bay all on the eastern shore of Lopez Island.  We will spend one night here.

Saturday June 25th, we head for home.

High tides on our launch date on June 18th are, 5:49 am, and 9:03 pm., and low tides are 1:30 am and 1:12 pm.   I understand that if we launch an hour or two before the 1:12 pm low tide, we will have the rising tide pushing us north to our first destination, Sucia Island.

We have five in the fleet with one maybe.  Four of the boats are Rhodes 22s, plus Greg Umbright is going with us on his 4Sail, an Aquarius 23.  Greg and I did it with our respective boats last year, and I will be with my Gentle Breeze again.
